Applications have started for the Hakan Orbay Research Awards, organized by Sabancı Business School to support young researchers in different fields of economics such as finance and financial economics.
Applications have started for the Hakan Orbay Research Awards, which encourage innovative theoretical and applied research in different fields of economics such as financial and financial economics, in order to keep alive the name of Sabancı Business School Member Hakan Orbay, who passed away in 2011.
In the evaluation process of the awards given in two categories, namely "Young Researcher" and "Doctorate Student", priority will be given to supporting theoretical and/or applied studies in the fields of firm theory, contract and incentive theories, company finance, corporate governance, and research aimed at understanding emerging markets.
In the award program, where applications covering both theoretical and applied research in the fields of finance and financial economics are accepted, the aim is to encourage applications related to finance in areas such as firm theory, incentive and contract theory, and corporate management, on which Hakan Orbay worked intensively.
The award amount will be 1500 Dollars in the Young Researcher category and 750 Dollars in the Doctorate Student category.
Applications are open until July 26, 2024.
