Ayşe Nilay Seyhan, a PhD student in Molecular Biology at Sabancı University, was awarded the "Best Poster Prize" for the poster presentation she delivered at MolBiyoKon26. Only three studies were recognized with awards out of the 189 posters presented at the congress.
Seyhan, who conducts her research within the group of Dr. Duygu Kuzuoğlu Öztürk—a faculty member at the Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences—shared her research with the scientific community through her poster presentation at MolBiyoKon26.
A total of 189 poster presentations were made at the congress, which brought together a diverse range of research projects. Following the evaluation process, Seyhan’s study was selected as one of the three winning posters, earning her the MolBiyoKon26 Best Poster Award.
Researching the Molecular Mechanisms of Prostate Cancer
Within Dr. Duygu Kuzuoğlu Öztürk’s research group, Ayşe Nilay Seyhan is investigating the formation mechanism of the androgen receptor protein, which plays a critical role in castration-resistant prostate cancer.
The research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying this translational regulation and, ultimately, to identify new therapeutic strategies targeting these mechanisms for the treatment of prostate cancer.
