Education Reform Initiative Collaborates for Green Transformation in Education

The Education Reform Initiative is launching a new project focusing on green transformation and resilience in education in order to contribute to a sustainable future. The project, which will be carried out with the support of the British Council, in collaboration with the Institute for Social Innovation and Impact at the University of Northampton and Lancaster University, will continue for 18 months.

The project entitled “Eco-Creative Pedagogies: Training the Next Generation of Teachers on Green Skills and Resilience” aims to support teachers in gaining green skills and building more resilient communities. Within the scope of the project to be carried out by Burcu Meltem Arık, Özgenur Korlu, and Kayıhan Kesbiç from the Education Reform Initiative Education Observatory, Prof. Richard Hazenberg (University of Northampton), Dr. Ecem Karlıdağ-Dennis (University of Northampton), and Dr. Melis Cin (Lancaster University), teachers, eco-artists, environmental activists, civil society organizations, and think tanks from Turkey and the United Kingdom will come together to carry out material, education, and policy development studies.
