The guest of the Dean’s Speaker Series seminars organized by Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences was Prof. Emine Yılmaz, who conducts studies in the field of artificial intelligence at University College London.
Prof. Emine Yılmaz, who is a faculty member at the Department of Computer Science at University College London and the UCL Artificial Intelligence Center and leads the UCL Web Intelligence Group, provided information about her latest work at the seminar. Yılmaz presented her research on the design of systems that provide contextual task completion assistance with little input from the user, which is needed when using intelligent assistants and search engines. In her speech, Prof. Emine Yılmaz explained her work on the design of general-purpose task completion systems, task-based knowledge graph based on Wikihow, how to use additional task knowledge, creating task-focused dialogues, and LLMs that control task-specific agents.
