GO IDEA Entrepreneurship Office, operating within TÜBİTAK Marmara Technopark, visited Sabancı Business School on March 25th. Following a meeting on existing programs and new collaborations, a meeting was held with our students as part of the MGMT402 Entrepreneurship course.

The results of the 2026 World University Rankings by Subject, prepared by the prestigious UK-based higher education ranking organization QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), have been announced. Sabancı University stood out as the university that achieved the largest single rise and the most subject-based increases among the leading universities in Türkiye.

We asked Professor Dr. Syeda Arzu Wasti, a faculty member at Sabancı Business School, who researches the effects of culture on organizational behavior, about the general trend of trust levels in our country. Wasti stated that according to the World Values Survey, Türkiye is one of the countries with the lowest levels of trust.

As part of the Science Cafe events initiated last year by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), Sabancı University will bring together faculty members and young people in Ankara. The Ankara Science Cafe event, organized by Sabancı University, invites participants to an interdisciplinary exploration focusing on artificial intelligence, algorithms, and creativity.

Sabancı University hosted Professor Behzad Razavi, a leading figure in the field of electronics and communications engineering from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). The seminar, held in the FENS G077 auditorium, was attended by academics, researchers, industry representatives from relevant organizations, and numerous students. The seminar, which attracted great interest, began with an opening speech by Sabancı University President Prof. Yusuf Leblebici.

The "First Step into the Business World Program," organized annually by the Career Development and Internship Office during the mid-term break, brought together young talents and the business world for the 13th term this year. The program, which was held with the participation of 150 students and 22 different institutions, was completed with strong interest and interaction.

The Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) is launching a new international research project focusing on societal participation and local value creation in the field of renewable energy. Offering a comparative framework between Europe and Latin America, the EU-LAC LOVPRELAE project aims to provide a multi-dimensional perspective on energy transition by bringing together practices from different countries.

The first event of the “COP31 Insights” webinar series, launched by the Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) as part of the preparations for COP31, was held online on March 17, 2026. Open to international participation, the webinar addressed current developments and global expectations regarding the COP31 process from different perspectives.

We asked Nihal Öztolan Erol, Principal Researcher at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM), about the research she is conducting regarding the problems facing the world in agriculture. Erol wholeheartedly believes that agricultural biotechnology will play a critical role in the future.
