The Center of Excellence for Functional Surfaces and Interfaces for Nano Diagnostics (EFSUN) is pleased to announce the Best Paper Award to recognize their scientific achievements via articles outstanding young scientists have authored, in part or full, related to Functional Surfaces and Interfaces published within the last 3 years (between 2018-2021). Application deadline is 6 August 2021.

A bilateral cooperation protocol has been signed between the Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research & Application Center (SUNUM) and Istanbul Technical University (ITU).

The project, of which Adnan Kefal, member of Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), is the principal investigator and Mehmet Yıldız, Vice President of Sabancı University, is the researcher, has been entitled to support according to the framework of the TUBITAK 1505 University-Industry Collaboration Grant Program.

Within the framework of the ‘Business Against Domestic Violence (BADV) Project’ carried out by the Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum of Turkey (CGFT) and supported by the Sabancı Foundation and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with TÜSİAD, the ‘Workshop on Evaluation of the Draft Workplace Policy Development and Implementation Guide for Combating Domestic Violence Against Women at Municipalities’ was held in partnership with the Union of Municipalities of Turkey.

However hard the times that we are going through may be, we believe the strength we derive from our being together makes the day easier. We have many needs to meet to boost this strength, and the access of students to educational technologies tops the needs list. 

The number of female students who choose to study in STEM fields at Sabancı University has risen by nearly 40% in the last five years.  

Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) alumni are included in the Fortune Turkey “40 under 40” list, awarded to the most successful young and forward-thinking leaders who create social and economic value while producing effective projects in their fields.

Sabancı University Engineering and Natural Sciences Emeritus Faculty Member Gündüz Ulusoy has recently co-authored a book titled "An Introduction to Project Planning and Modeling" is published by Springer Verlag.
