Nursima Ünver, our graduate student, has been awarded the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience Travel Fellowship granted by the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience.
Carrying out research on the effects of divided attention on long-term memory retrieval in the Memory, Attention, and Cognitive Control (MACC) laboratory led by Eren Günseli, Nursima Ünver, a graduate student in Sabancı University Psychology program, has become one of the 4 people found deserving of the award, worth 3000-USD, given by the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience. Bestowed by the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, one of the most prominent academic journals in its field, this award aims to support students and post-doctoral researchers from around the world in participating in the Cognitive Neuroscience Society Conference.
Nursima shared her feelings about the award with gazeteSU: "I applied to the conference to deliver the poster presentation of the project I carried out together with Eren Günseli in the framework of my graduate thesis. It is really a source of pride for me to win the award. In addition, I am very excited about the conference since it will create an opportunity for me to meet prominent researchers from different countries, get updates in my field, and share my own project with other researchers."
