Sabancı Foundation Türkiye’s Changemakers Program Sabancı University Special Award Winner is Hale Uçuş

Among the 15th Season Changemakers, Hale Uçuş with the Barrier-Free Mathematics Education Platform (ENMEP) won the Special Award with the votes of Sabancı University students.

The Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects course aims to raise students’ awareness of the society they live in and foster active citizenship. In line with this goal, Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects and the Sabancı Foundation collaborate within the scope of the Sabancı Foundation Türkiye’s Changemakers Program. Through this collaboration, one of the changemakers selected each year in the Changemakers Program is awarded the Sabancı University Special Award, based on the votes of socially engaged Sabancı University students.

This year, among the 15th Season Changemakers, Hale Uçuş with the Barrier-Free Mathematics Education Platform (ENMEP) won the award with the votes of Sabancı University students. Hale Uçuş provides online support to visually impaired students through the platform she founded. In 2020, she also established the Inclusive and Accessible Life Association, bringing together other volunteer teachers to support visually impaired children and their families. So far, she has reached more than 250 visually impaired students and over 30 teachers, taking significant steps to enhance accessibility in education.

On February 9, 2025, Hale Uçuş met with the team leaders of the Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects at Sabancı University and received her award from Zeynep Bahar, Manager of Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects.
