About Prof. Peter Steeneken

Prof. Peter Steeneken is full professor and department head at the Precision and Microsystems Engineering (PME) department, leading the group Dynamics of Micro and Nanosystems (DMN). His research and teaching focuses at the dynamics and physics of mechanical systems at the micro and nanoscale, particularly focusing at sensing applications. He aims at enhancing our understanding of physical principles and material properties, realizing improved measurement methods and models for novel and improved devices and applications. Prof. Steeneken has a PhD in physics and more than 14 years of experience in industrial research labs at Philips and NXP.
