About Assoc. Prof. Hande Toffoli
Hande Toffoli, born in Ankara in 1977, graduated from the Physics Department of METU in 1999 and received her Ph.D. from Cornell University in the USA in 2005. She conducted postdoctoral research in Italy for a year before returning to METU as a faculty member, where she taught eighty different courses to physics students. She received the METU Young Researcher Award in 2010, 2012, and 2015. In 2015, she was selected for and received an award from the Young Scientist Award Program (BAGEP) organized by the Turkish Academy of Sciences. Serving as the Deputy Head of the METU Physics Department, Toffoli has published numerous scientific papers at the interdisciplinary intersection of chemistry, physics, and materials science, presenting her research on international platforms.
