Statement by Sabancı University Founding Board of Trustees Chair Güler Sabancı on the appointment of Sabancı University President Professor Hasan Mandal as the President of TÜBİTAK:

"It is no coincidence that Sabancı University is the first to come to mind when looking for the right person to lead scientific research. Our faculty and their international achievements require no telling. In fact, our Founding President Tosun Terzioğlu had joined us for the establishment of our university after serving as the President of TÜBİTAK. Our President Professor Hasan Mandal served as Vice President of Research at Sabancı University from 2011 onwards. After his term in the Council for Higher Education, he had returned to his university as President. The appointment of the President of Sabancı University as President of TÜBİTAK is an excellent decision for the good of our country, and we are proud of this decision. On behalf of the university, we wish him tremendous success in his new position."
