The winners of the 2025 Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards will be announced at an awards and commemoration ceremony to be held at the Sabancı Center on April 10. Sabancı University Honorary Chair Sakıp Sabancı will be remembered with the Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards, which were established according to his will, on the 21st anniversary of his passing.
The Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards, which were established according to the will of Sabancı University Honorary Chair Sakıp Sabancı, are being organized for the 20th time this year. The winners of the awards, organized this year with the theme of “Realigning values in a transforming world order: What needs preserving, reevaluating, and redefining?”, will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the Sabancı Center on April 10. Sakıp Sabancı, who passed away on April 10, 2004, will be remembered with the Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards on the 21st anniversary of his passing.
Led by Sabancı University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Istanbul Policy Center, the Sakıp Sabancı International Research Awards is the first international award program in Turkey in the field of social sciences. The program has received more than 600 applications from 40 countries around the world to date. The 2025 program evaluated studies that critically examine the values shaping individuals, societies, and institutions and offer ideas on how these can be preserved, reevaluated, or redefined to guide people in the 21st century and inform future generations.
