The patent application entitled "Flow System for Preventing Particle Agglomeration", which was jointly made by Sabancı University and Özyeğin University, was granted by the European Patent Office (EPO) (EP3365627B1) and the Japanese Patent Office (JPO) (JP6559363B2), and the US Patent and Trademark Office (USTPO) (US10837604B2). The patents granted by these three patent offices are defined as a highly prestigious triadic patent. There are only below 20 triadic patents in Turkey.
Ozyegin University EÇEM Direktor Pınar Mengüç, FENS faculty members and SUNUM and EFSUN researchers Ali Koşar and Kürşat Şendur propose an innovative method for prevention of particle agglomeration. This method could pave the way for the implementation of nanoparticles to various applications. This patent is an output of the collaborative platform ‘Istanbul Collaborative’.
