Tips to be Creative in Music, Business and Diplomacy

Thorough their own lives, Candace Johnson, Adrien Meisch and Tasoulla Christou gave clues to Sabancı University students about how to be creative in music, business and diplomacy.

Members of Sabancı University International Board of Overseers Candace Johnson, Adrien Meisch and Tasoulla Christou gave a seminar set by Career Development Center, at October 6th in Sabancı University about “Creativity in Music, Business and Diplomacy”. Sabancı University School of Management Dean, Professor. Dr. Nakiye Boyacıgiller and President Professor Dr. Nihat Berker were also attended to the seminar.

Famous Compositor Tasoulla Christou shared how does she inspires while creating compositions and what path she follows doing that. She mentioned what a compositor needs to be a creative one. A creative compositor needs good instincts and good ear to judge besides a good music knowledge.

Candace Johnson, who has also given seminars in previous years in our university, explained how entrepreneurs be creative in business life by giving examples from her own business experiences. She mentioned that all entrepreneurs need this creativity and courage to be successful and also she pointed that entrepreneurs could achieve their goals with a good team. Johnson and her husband gave a mini piano concert at the beginning of her speech. She gave away her music cds as gifts to the participants at the end of the seminar.

Johnson advised to the entrepreneurs that one can even be successful in a field that she or he did not know any thing nor had an education about it, only if they have a great team and by knowing the right people. They should not be afraid of failure because every failure will be a guidance fort he future.

A diplomat Adrien Meisch, told the stories that he had experienced while he was an ambassador. He explained how some international conflicts could be solved by creative solutions, ideas. After the mini concert he has given with his wife, at the end of the seminar Meisch made a solo performance.
