Sabancı University invites all sky enthusiasts to a free telescope observing event to be held in the garden of the Küçükköy Creative Technologies Atelier on November 22, 2025.
This event, a continuation of the two-year observing event organized by Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences faculty member Prof. Dr. Ersin Göğüş, will be the next stop in the series following the previous observation on October 25, 2025.
The event is not limited to observing the sky; it will begin with workshops and presentations at the Ayvada Event Center in Ayvalık city center. Participants will then explore the depths of the sky with telescopes in the garden of the Küçükköy Creative Technologies Atelier.
Dr. Alper K. Ateş will also be present on the November 22 program. His presentation, which will begin the evening's first part, is entitled "Archaeological Astronomy: Stories from the Sky," which brings together millennia-old celestial narratives with modern science.
