Journal of Management Studies (JMS) Paper Development Workshop Successfully Held at Sabancı Business School

The Journal of Management Studies (JMS) Paper Development Workshop was successfully hosted on March 7, 2025, by Sabancı Business School.

Under the theme “Crafting Papers for Top-tier Management Journals,” the workshop brought together nearly 50 scholars from Turkey and neighboring countries specializing in management and organization studies.

Management Studies (JMS), one of the leading journals in the field: Corinne Post (Villanova University), Yasin Rofcanin (University of Bath), and Chidiebere Ogbonnaya (King’s College London). They provided valuable insights into preparing papers for high-impact academic journals, sharing key strategies and best practices.

As part of the workshop, scholars whose research proposals were accepted had the unique opportunity to receive direct feedback from the editors in roundtable discussions. The editors offered constructive evaluations, helping participants refine and strengthen their research for publication.

  • Comprehensive feedback on research projects: A total of 14 promising research projects received in-depth and constructive feedback directly from the editors, helping scholars refine their work for publication.
  • Fostering new academic connections and collaborations: The workshop facilitated valuable networking opportunities, paving the way for new academic collaborations and joint research initiatives.
  • Measuring the impact of the workshop: To assess the long-term impact of the event, the editors decided to track which journals the 14 submitted research projects will ultimately be published in.
