Ali Arda Gençali, a PhD graduate and a Postdoctoral Researcher of the Physics Program at Sabancı University’s Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been awarded the 2024 Serhat Özyar Young Scientist of the Year Award with his thesis entitled “Evolutionary Links Between Isolated Neutron Star Populations.”

Prof. Dr. Nakiye Boyacıgiller, who served as Dean of Sabancı Business School between 2003 and 2013, was featured in a special chapter in the book entitled “Key Questions and Inspiring Answers in Cross-Cultural Management” published by Edward Elgar Publishing House.

The ISType 2024 conference, themed “text-ure,” took place on Saturday, November 2nd at Salt Galata, Istanbul, and brought together a distinguished lineup of speakers to explore the evolving dimensions of type design.

The fourth guest of the seminar series emphasizing Sabancı University’s new undergraduate program “Data Science and Analytics” and the interdisciplinary qualities of the program will be Selçuk Artut, Lecturer at Sabancı University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

The launch ceremony of the ISO (Istanbul Chamber of Industry) Academy was held on November 14. One of the most interesting parts of the ceremony was the “Education Strategies for the Future” panel moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ecmel Ayral. Sabancı University Secretary General Ali Çalışkan, also participated in the panel.

The Purple Certificate Program awards, conducted by Sabancı University Gender and Women's Studies Center of Excellence (SU Gender) with the support of the Sabancı Foundation, will be given this year on November 23.
