Civic Involvement Projects (CIP101) was introduced in 1999 as a compulsory course for all students in all Sabancı University programs. The purpose of the projects are to help individuals perform their responsibilities towards their community both through teamwork and personal initiative. The social venture Kadınların Elinden, started by Sabancı University Industrial Engineering program student Mustafa Alp Dumrul and Computer Science and Engineering and Management Double Major 2019 graduate A. Atakan Demir in 2018, was recently valued at 13.5 million TL.
