A conference series is being launched at Sabancı University, with the aim of introducing the new undergraduate program “Data Science and Analytics”, which will be launched in the 2024-2025 academic year, with its multiple dimensions, especially emphasizing the interdisciplinary features of this subject area.

Auto Train Brain, established in Erciyes Teknopark within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1512 BİGG Entrepreneurship Support Program and supported by Sabancı University Inovent A.Ş. in the same year, received investment from Pera Yatırım Holding A.Ş. based on a valuation of 8.2 million USD.

The Orientation Days organized by our university for the academics who will enter the 2024-25 Academic Year will take place on 17-18 September at Sabancı University Tuzla campus at EDU.

The Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) has opened its latest exhibition, Georg Baselitz: The Last Decade, presenting the works of renowned German painter, sculptor, and printmaker Georg Baselitz, one of the most influential figures in contemporary art. Supported by Akbank, the exhibition features pieces that reflect the artist’s extensive sixty-five-year career and will be open to visitors until 2 February 2025.

Assoc. Prof. Oznur Tastan has been recently elected as the co-president of the Machine Learning in Computational and Systems Biology (MLCSB) community, which promotes the exchange of ideas, interactions, and collaborations in computational biology and machine learning.  

Our president Yusuf Leblebici has paid an official visit to National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), which is one of the largest and most prominent universities in Taiwan.

The project entitled “Title Deed and Passport: Changing Property, Mobility and Urban Nexus in Light of Residence and Citizenship Practices through Investment”, of which Doctoral Faculty Member Aslı İkizoğlu Erensü from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is the principal investigator has been deemed entitled to support. The project was previously granted the right of expedited review within the scope of the 2024 First Term Call of TÜBİTAK’s 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program.

The "Sustainability in Finance" workshop, organized for the first time this year by Doruk Günaydın and Erem Ateşağaoğlu from the Finance Group of Sabancı Business School, brought together academics, researchers, and industry leaders to deeply address sustainability, finance, and governance issues. The workshop provided a platform where important discussions were held on critical topics such as ESG factors, climate risk pricing, and the impact of green transitions on businesses.
