The project entitled “Security-Performance Tradeoff of PQC Algorithms in 5G/6G Architecture under Side-Channel Attacks (PQC-SIDE-6G)”, which will be carried out under the leadership of FENS Faculty Member Çağlar Tunç and in which FENS Dean Erkay Savaş and PhD student Tolun Tosun are also included, has been found deserving of support under the PQ-REACT call.
This project, which will be carried out for 6 months at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences under the leadership of our Electronic Communications Program Faculty Member Çağlar Tunç, will involve: (i) examining the “side-channel” security vulnerabilities of post-quantum cryptography algorithms in 5G and 6G networks, (ii) investigating security measures to eliminate these vulnerabilities, (iii) and evaluating the effects of these measures on 5G/6G performance requirements.
