The results of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program were announced. A total of thirteen projects in which faculty members and researchers from Sabancı University are coordinators, researchers, or consultants were found eligible for support, which makes Sabancı University one of the universities that received the most support from within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program.

The Purple Certificate Program carried out by the Sabancı University Gender and Women’s Studies Center for Excellence (SU Gender) for 13 years with the support of the Sabancı Foundation held online basic training on gender equality to teachers and prospective teachers with notebook computers provided to participants by Sabancı Holding.

The Creative Technologies Atelier, implemented by Sabancı University in cooperation with Ayvalık District Governorship, Ayvalık Municipality, and Ayvalık District Directorate of National Education, continues its remote (online) education programs organized for middle and high school students.

As a member of the SAHA aggregation, Sabancı University participated in SAHA Expo Virtual Fair, which can be visited between 9 November 2020 and 9 April 2021 free of charge, to showcase its existing applications and infrastructure in the defense and aerospace industries, to introduce its R&D activities to stakeholders in the eco-system, and to establish new partnerships. 

Sabancı University Mechatronics Engineering Undergraduate Program students Ahmet Erkoç, Deniz Ece Susuz and Sema Burçe Pazarlı’s Vestel White Good Company’s Industry Focused Project (SOP) has been granted by TUBITAK 2209-B Grant for Industry Oriented Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students.

A short summary of the recent activities of The Center of Excellence for Functional Surfaces and interfaces for Nano Diagnostics (EFSUN) in 2020 is now available.

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is pleased to announce that the Applications of Engineering in Medicine and Biology seminar series will continue in Spring 2020-2021 as well.

Exploitation of academic research results through commercialisation  is crucial for economic growth and development. “ArTiS Workshop - Commercialization of Research Outputs: Theory and Practice” aims to facilitate the improvement of new skills and perspectives to develop new applications and markets for academic research results and inventions.

In light of the "Enhanced X-Ray Timing and Polarimetry Satellite, Wide Area Monitoring Application Software” project signed by Sabancı University, the Turkish Space Agency and TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute, Sabancı University will take part in software development and scientific activities for the research satellite.
