Professor Emrah Kalemci, member of Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, was elected as a Member of the Science Academy.
The Science Academy, whose foundations were laid to promote, exemplify, and observe the principles of scientific merit, freedom, and honesty as an independent non-governmental organization, was founded in Istanbul in 2011. Bringing together the most successful scientists of our country, the Academy evaluates its members within the framework of the "European Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment".
The Science Academy, the founders of which include Prof. Dr. Tosun Terzioğlu and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Alpar, aims to promote and protect excellence in science, scientific methods, traditions and procedures, scientific freedom, and integrity.
