Sabancı University won the "University of the Year" award at the fourth Golden Cube Awards Ceremony held by Teknopark Istanbul.
Acting President Zehra Sayers, SU-IMC Director Mehmet Yıldız and Sabancı Holding Industry Group President Cenk Alper received the award from Undersecretary of Defense Industry Professor İsmail Demir at the awards ceremony.
Ten universities had been nominated for the award and the winner was chosen based on:
Contributions to university-industry cooperation;
Research and development activities;
Contribution to the ecosystem via master's and PhD programs;
Contribution to the Tech-based Internship program;
Academic work conducted within the ecosystem.
