Assoc. Prof. Oznur Tastan has been recently elected as the co-president of the Machine Learning in Computational and Systems Biology (MLCSB) community, which promotes the exchange of ideas, interactions, and collaborations in computational biology and machine learning.  

Our president Yusuf Leblebici has paid an official visit to National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), which is one of the largest and most prominent universities in Taiwan.

The project entitled “Title Deed and Passport: Changing Property, Mobility and Urban Nexus in Light of Residence and Citizenship Practices through Investment”, of which Doctoral Faculty Member Aslı İkizoğlu Erensü from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is the principal investigator has been deemed entitled to support. The project was previously granted the right of expedited review within the scope of the 2024 First Term Call of TÜBİTAK’s 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program.

The "Sustainability in Finance" workshop, organized for the first time this year by Doruk Günaydın and Erem Ateşağaoğlu from the Finance Group of Sabancı Business School, brought together academics, researchers, and industry leaders to deeply address sustainability, finance, and governance issues. The workshop provided a platform where important discussions were held on critical topics such as ESG factors, climate risk pricing, and the impact of green transitions on businesses.

Sabancı University will host An Open Discussion on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, at which leading people in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship will come together, on Friday, September 20, 2024.

A groundbreaking review paper titled "Green Hydrogen Synthesis via Photoelectrochemical Reactions: Recent Advances and Future Perspectives" has been published in the prestigious Global Challenges journal by Wiley. This paper has been selected as the cover feature of the issue, highlighting its significant contribution to the field.

Organized by Sabancı University specifically for the new students of the 2024-25 Academic Year, the Orientation Days will be held on September 19-20 this year on the university's Tuzla campus.

 The traditional 'lnternational Best Paper Competition' event of the EFSUN SABANCI Center of Excellence was held on August 21, with the presentation of Prof. Emre Erdem.

The project carried out by Sabancı University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences 2023 graduates Aysun Öğüt, Berke Turanlıoğlu, and Doruk Can Metiner within the scope of their ENS 491/492 graduation project was presented at USENIX Security Symposium 2024, one of the world's most prestigious and distinguished conferences in the field of computer science.
