Sabancı University SuRover Club participated in Take Off Istanbul 2025 with its rover developed for Mars exploration missions. Designed with an interdisciplinary engineering approach, the vehicle attracted the attention of numerous visitors from the technology and defense industries throughout the fair.

Nil Nida Yaman, a 3rd-year Electronic Engineering student at Sabancı University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been accepted to the KAUST Microelectronics Winter Camp. Achieving a great success by being selected from among thousands of applicants from world-renowned universities, our student will participate in the 6-week camp, which will take place at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) from January 12th to February 19th, 2026.

Chef İdil Yazar, known for her recipes that reach millions on social media, and also a health coach and lifestyle content creator, met with Sabancı University members with her seminar entitled “Strengthening Flavors.” In the seminar, held on the Tuzla Campus, İdil Yazar shared her career journey in the field of gastronomy with the audience, also touching upon the relationship between holistic health and cuisine, and presenting practical wellness and nutrition tips.

As part of the MGMT 301 course taught by Prof. Dr. Zafer Yenal at Sabancı University, students presented comprehensive projects focusing on three different areas of sustainability in order to develop concrete solutions for campus life.

The Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) has been selected to carry out a new project titled "Just Transition in Türkiye's Coal Sector," supported by the European Union Climate Dialogues Programme (EU Climate Dialogues – EUCDs), adding a new study to its research in the field of climate change.

The Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) has announced the recipients of its Outstanding Young Scientist Awards (TÜBA-GEBİP), given to support young scientists. Two academics from Sabancı University achieved a significant success by receiving the award. Dr. Duygu Kuzuoğlu Öztürk in the field of health sciences and Dr. Eren Günseli in the field of social sciences were among this year's outstanding young scientists.

Because they are very inexpensive to produce and launch into orbit, CubeSats are the new favorite in space exploration. Designed and developed at the High Energy Astrophysics Detector Laboratory at Sabancı University, led by Prof. Dr. Emrah Kalemci, iXRD is the first X-ray detector system for astrophysics in Türkiye to operate in space.

Dr. Kadir Akın from Quantum Computing Hub, ETH Zurich/PSI, Switzerland will be the guest of the Nano Open Webinar, which will be held on Wednesday, 10 December 2025 at 11:00 on Zoom.

Suzanne Lacy: Birlikte/Togæther, an exhibition by American artist and educator Suzanne Lacy, presented at Sakıp Sabancı Museum with the support of the Sabancı Foundation, has been extended until March 8, 2026.
